The Bucket contest has been held annually since it's infancy in 1997, when it was first introduced by Regina Beardsley.  The Ladies have won 4 of the past 5 years.  The rules of the contest are as follows:

Every penny = 1 positive point
Every other coin = Its value x  -1
Ex. 1 nickel = -5 points
Bills = -100 x the face value of the bill
Ex. 1 dollar = -100 points

Therefore, the men drop their pennies in the Men's bucket, and everything else in the Ladies bucket, and the Ladies do the opposite.  Whoever has the most points at the end of the contest wins (usually it's whichever has fewer negative points).
